Hi All,
I have forcibly inherited my wife's 2010 Panda 100HP.
I bought her this car, as she used to have a Panda Multijet & when it came to replacing it she wanted another Panda, so I got her the 100HP.
7 years 21,000 miles on, I got her a KIA Picanto for her birthday and also got in just before the road tax changed in April.
The PX the dealer was going to give me was a pittance, so decided to sell it privately.
The wife said soon afterwards, our son is coming back on leave with his family, so best hang on to the Panda. So the plan was he would use my car and I would use the Panda - reluctantly I may add, I like my big car with all the creature comforts.

Anyhow, surprisingly, I have grown to like the Panda, it's a right cheeky hooligan on the road.
I had never paid it much attention, whilst my wife had it, it was just her shopping trolley.
However, it did have one problem - The ride was bone jarring, especially speed bumps. (my commute is 20 miles with 12 speed bumps & a squillion pot holes)
So I jumped onto this forum to see what others had done. Most of the posts were about lowering the car... are you all mad!!
Then I found the post from rturner back in Jan 2012, where he fitted KONI's to the back with the standard springs & the reviews from others were pretty encouraging.
So onto EBay & ordered a pair, prepared the bushing required for the top mount as described.
When they arrived, fitted them and it was as easy as rturner described.
Drove it to work and found although the ride was still firm, the back end wasn't as wild and bouncy as it used to be - result... thank you rturner.
Had to change the tyres all round also, as they were cracking up with age. Also found the F1's on ebay.

Yesterday had to fix the tailgate - wouldn't open electrically any more, had to use the key.
So I shall post some pictures & words on how I fixed it and hopefully put something back into the forum.

I'm growing quite attached to this little car, so may hang onto it.
Brings a big grin on my face when I can out corner Audi's & BMW's.... it's bonkers:bang:
PS. I'm over 60 so don't do lowering

The Fiat 500 rear axle seriously improved the ride and handling of my ordinary Panda. The springs are 30% softer but the axle has an anti roll bar. The track is 25mm wider each side (50mm wider overall)

The ordinary 13" wheels fit easily with the wider axle, but I suspect the 100HP wheels will foul the wheel arches.

Anyway. It's something to consider.

Might be worth swapping out the front shocks/top mounts etc, just put bilstein b4’s on the front of mine and it was just over £200 for the parts and fitting which is pretty good I think and they work very well.
