Hi all,

My car was broken into last month when some punks broke the drivers side window and maybe forced the door handle because it doesn't open the door anymore, i.e., when I lift it nothing happens. The lock still works and I can open the door from inside the car.

The insurance replaced the window but wanted me to pay the deductible ~200 to replace the door handle which I declined and said I will do it myself.

Anyone have any guides on how to open the door and replace the mechanism for opening the door from outside?

I've replaced door locks on a grande punto but not on the panda. But I'm sure it's a similar procedure. Remove door card, unhook rod from internal handle, unbolt lock/catch unit form the door and unplug multi plug. Fitting is reverse of removal. 20 minute job max.
