General Panda models

My wife is about to buy an 06 Panda 1.2 Dynamic. What differences did the Dynamic trim bring? Its a nice car with alloys and dark metallic blue paint.

Panda is the model :)

Trim/spec is what I assume you're refering to. Dynamic in comparison to what though, the Active?

Bring RCL, trip computer, colour coded bumpers and thats about it off the top of my head. I'm sure someone else can expand, however I'd just skip the Dynamic and go straight to an Eleganza, that gets all the toys then (y)

Its a done deal. Arrives tomorrow. She's thrilled with it! Thanks

I bought a 1.3 dynamic a few weeks ago. Mine doesn't have alloys but has roof bars. Maybe when ordered the original owner could pick 2 out of 4 options!! Mines so cheap to run. £30 road tax and 60+ mpg. I've changed the front grill for an active grill as I don't like the 2 chrome stripes. Enjoy!

The spec for the dynamic changed a few times over the production run. Later models have A/C as standard, slightly better economy and £30 RFL.

The Eleganza has all the toys but couldn't make the cut for £30 RFL, no doubt due to those nice alloy wheels & wider tyres.

Its the same chassis as the Panda so won't be that much different in weight. Far prefer the 500's revvy and punchy VVT engine to the Panda's none VVT personally.

According to the manuals, 860kg unladen for a 1.2 Panda and 865kg for a 1.2 500, presumably based on lowest spec for each. So, as you say, no difference in weight.

You've mentioned the punchiness of the VVT engine before and it does make me wonder if there's been some tweaking of the engine mapping or throttle response over time. On a motorway drive I prefer driving the 500 but on an urban run, slotting into gaps in traffic or accelerating from a standing start, I found the non VVT panda (euro iv) much more driveable.
