Hey I have a 2006 Panda 1.2...
Bought the car 2 months ago, came with a 6 month warranty.

Its had a few things done by the renault garage where I bought it under warranty. Driven the car today and at normal speeds, there seems to be a light squeaking noise coming from the front drivers side when the car is moving. Noise I dont think is there when its wet.
The car had a rear drivers side wheel bearing replaced yesterday.
Fiat said the brake pedal had "excessive travel" as a result of their multi point check, so Im wondering if its something to do with that. The pads are only around 10% worn on the front, however.
Im within my rights to take it back to renault to sort it out, but I've been there a few times to sort out the little things that needed doing to the car. The car has had its shocks and springs tested by renault who said they were fine.
Anyone have any ideas what the noise could be?
Cheers

Difficult to say without hearing it. Front brakes might just need dismantling, cleaning and re-assembling with some fresh copper grease. I wouldn't bother taking it back to the garage you bought it if you can afford not to. Just find a trusted local independent garage. Euro Car Parts sell the brake fitting kits fairly cheaply which contains the anti-rattle springs etc. so it could be worth just changing them at the same time.

Excessive brake travel may be due to worn rear brake shoes or inoperative (seized) automatic rear brake adjusters. Again, a srip down and clean up would sort this. Altogether it shouldn't take more than an hour or two for a good garage to put it right.
