The reservoir seems opaque, an odd yellowy cream colour, can't see any of the new coolant (bright pink) in there at all, put through 4 and a half litres in to the car...

No evidence of leakage...

Any pics around?

Thanks

Why would anyone have pics of your coolant tank? ;)
It is a bit difficult to see, hands on either wing and give the car a shake works sometimes. Otherwise, make yourself a dipstick - measure the length on the outside of the bottle - from something. Or...shine a torch down it's throat - the reservoir, not the dog!

I find that putting a small torch down the RHS of the rad. by the screen-wash tank , press the torch against the opaque part of the rad/ tank , roughly between the upper and lower marks , then if you view from ( roughly the centre of the rad) the opposite side you should see a dark area ( coolant) and the light area above it ( airspace),
as stated above you can just about see coolant if peering down the throat of the filler neck, but it's so contorted I can never figure-out a level from that,
Charlie
