Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience at doing this and if their is a best way or best tool for the job.

speak to jason (jnoiles) his 500 has same set up, and apparantly, it's a real pain in the gooch to remove for a disc change.

Yeah its the same set up as HGT's too. Everything is just literally welded together and practiaclly unmoveable. It's annoying me.

i think the worst of it was that the bolts, which are almost completely inaccessable to the average home mechanic, odd heads, no way to get to them, real pain in the ass stuff. esp considering something like the uno, 2 bolts off it comes

I should have bought an Uno instead then. Yeah bolts are a pain, quoted £40 to get it done but got the offer of getting both front and backs for the same price so if push comes to shove I shall go with that.
