Hi All
Been playing with 2014 panda... swopped front shocks out, only to see that the sump was leaking oil, due to corrosion, then when the car was been taken off he axle stands the left hand side brake cake snapped. So ordered the replacement parts. ( Still wait for delivery) And climbed under the car. Four bolts, taken out but really struggled with the engine brace bolts so the heads got chewed. So popped down to the local fiat dealer who is unable to find three of the bolts I removed from the gearbox, holding the metal plate and engine brace on. still have not removed the exhaust yet and that's fused on.
The dealer was looking in the parts diagrams but they are so rubbish that its really difficult to work it all out... never had anything like this before. In my eyes it just really poor customer service if the parts catalogue's are rubbish..
Or maybe they just dont want to sell cars in the uk any more as and have just given up... Mean while I still have to sort this issue out....
Will try another dealer tomorrow...toss pots

Have you tried popping your VIN into ePer and seeing if you can find them?

I couldn't find anything under the handbrake diagrams, but under "brake system fittings" I could only find one bolt listed - Part no. 16281924 which looks like cross references as an M8x14 bolt.

My thinking is, if you can find what thread it is you can pop down the hardware store and get them there without having to deal with Fiat

A curious comment since the same parts diagrams are used everywhere by Fiat - they are not UK specific, but also are not good!... You can view them yourself online in several places too, if you wish, including here: https://fiat.7zap.com/en/gin/33/31913h051870-012/

Well after nearly three weeks the parts I ordered turned up. put the brake cake on and it was a different length to the old one so just as well I ordered two. Fitted the second one job done... Then I think I discovered that I did not need to take the wheel and hubs off as there appears to be a plastic inspection hole, in the right place for the cable end.
Has anyone got the torque settings for the axle nut think it was 188Nm ?
Took the old sump off, but struggled like crazy as its very difficult working under the car with out a a proper car ramp. trashed the old one using pry bars.. spent what seemed like ages cleaning the engine surface and after rubbing both surfaces down with solvent cleaner.. put the new sealant round and put the new sump on. I think was supposed to have waited 24hrs to allow the sealant to cure. Did wait Saturday night and 4hrs Sunday, due to rain interrupting play. but managed to get the exhaust back on and car filled up with oil plus new filter fore testing... drove 5miles up the A5 to my mates and it started dripping in one place, on the way back became three drips. So it getting stripped down again. So I can try and reseal the sump. Its the same engine as the punto with what looks like an almost identical steel sump.. so Im temped to try the old seal that you used to use on the punto... Just a little worried that I will **** the new sump taking it off. but looking at the amount of oil coming out think it will fall off....
Fiat dealer I ordered bolts for, managed to supply me all the wrong ones, wrong length on one and wrong head and size on the other? So been getting them off ebay...
