Keys out and in your pocket..
Disconnect the battery Negative lead overnight

It might just reset something..

Did you know the car before it was parked?

The bodycomputer tends to be responsible for switching the lights..

Certain threads on here have outlined that it isnt bulletproof :(

Do a search of this forum and you'll find others have had similar issues - which seem to relate to the main computer that controls everything needing a dealer to reset it. Or just be happy that the lights are always on...

To search the forum (not this thread) go to the Panda home page (here https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-iii/ )and then follow the link at the top right, underneath the row of 'Members motors' photos. it is very good and will find all sorts of useful things :)

hi all, battery Negative lead off overnight had no luck lights still on, would it be a mot fail. the light stalk just works high beam.

It should control the function of tail lights. Dip beam and main beam

Check if it 'flashes' main beam reliably..
Trying to rule out a bad stalk.. ;)

But it could well be the body computer at fault.. as already mentioned :(

It operates main beam by pulling towards you. But rotating the end of the stalk should allow you to turn the headlights on and off. What happens when you do that?

Not an Mot fail - look at all those Volvos out there :)

I must admit I was a bit confused by the FIAT lighting arrangement when I first got mine - possibly because I initially thought there was no door-open/lights-on buzzer, but it doesn't need one as I now know

works ok just wont turn off, tks

May be worth switching the side lights on & off , just in case it resets the computer . Light switch on & off with ignition off. See if that part works.
