Ok, so the log book says 1.2 but I have start and stop, which according to specs, isn't available on the 1.2.

Any tips on how to tell what engine I've got please?

Not difficult -

Diesel or petrol? If diesel it's a 1.3 litre Multijet. If petrol and a four cylinder it's a 1.2 litre FIRE engine; if two cylinder it's the turbocharged 875cc TwinAir.

Ok, here are the pics of the engine.
Thanks for the help! 20190727_072359.jpeg20190727_072425.jpeg20190727_072418.jpeg

That's the 69hp 1.2 FIRE 4 cylinder.

It differs slightly from the 60hp FIRE in the older model.

It has a longer intake manifold so they had to revise the airbox and move the throttle body to one side.
If you ever need to remove the airbox, be careful of the small breather pipe tucked right up under that goes to the throttle body, the barb it fits the pipe to on the airbox is very brittle and can easily snap.

This engine also runs a variator to alter the cam phase.
You can see the solenoid for it here, the silver cylinder next to the oil filler cap
This now makes the engine an interference engine, unlike the older 60hp.
So it's no longer "safe" if the cam belt snaps.

Thanks.
The thing that is confusing me is the fact that I have start/stop, which from everything I've read isn't available on the 1.2, only twin air. But I've also read that the twin air isn't available anymore either!

Stop- Start was added to the fleet to achieve the low emissions figures :£30 tax

Im pretty sure the 1.2 would.. or the 500 would have been a poor seller ;)

The 69bhp has been around since @ 2011 so yours should be great.
