Just got my new (2018 reg), Panda Cross and was just sorting stuff out in it over the weekend and found it does not have a USB/AUX port anywhere - I thought this was standard especially after the they dropped the radio with CD player quite a while back ?????
So the only entertainment I have is the radio.
Any thoughts anyone ??
Thanks.

I've got a usb socket in the glove box (2017 4x4) which I hardly use now.
Pair your phone and press media on the head unit, stream music or any radio app from the phone. It seems better audio quality to me and I find youtube music very good.
I have found that commercial radio is no longer transmitted over DAB (in the sticks where I am) so I now use a radio app on the phone and stream it over bluetooth.
You may have to set up your phone to output audio via bluetooth.

Yes that's what I was referring to - it was in my last car (2017), but not in this one. The USB port on the top of the dashboard is for charging only - I plug my Sat Nav in that and then I played music from a memory stick in the USB port in the glove box. (No AUX in port on the top of the dash). I have found the Fiat Part No. for this box so will investigate options. Thanks everyone.

I was trying to say use your phone/sd card as your storage device for your music and stream it over bluetooth to the car.

I take it your head unit still has a media button?

Yes thanks for the suggestion. Yes there is still a media button on the head unit. Dealer will be fitting the missing USB/AUX port next week.
Thanks everyone.

My 2018 TA Cross has only one usb port and that is by the phone cradle socket, I plug a usb memory stick in to play music through my stereo no problem. At the moment I'm using a 64gB usb memory stick made by Transend and it's the size of a fingernail.
I was expecting and disappointed to find that there was no second usb in the glove box.

I've just spotted today that my 2018 4x4 Panda has no speakers in the rear doors... in moving from a 2013 model to a 2018 one, I've gained uConnect (for what that is worth in its Panda incarnation), but lost speakers in the back. Only realised when I noticed 'fader' is missing from the radio's menu. (Can't work out if that means there's a bit more door pocket on the back doors now, or just a 'space'...). Also, the 2018 one doesn't have the twin spotlight/map reading interior light. This though does mean that some light reaches into the back from the cheaper, single light – the spotlight version left it very black in the back.

My 2016 Panda Cross has the USB/AUX socket between the seats under a sliding Blue&Me cap. Annoyingly there’s not one on the dash by the TomTom socket so I have the use an adaptor in the power socket for the phone. Have now bought a phone cradle for that fits in the TomTom socket, but still no power usb there.

Did you get the pricey Fiat one, or is there a cheaper alternative?
It was the Fiat one at £45. Couldn’t find anything else similar. It only just fits my Samsung Note 8 in case.
I have the TomTom but much prefer Google Maps for navigation and traffic. The Cradle was less than the annual TomTom subscription.

My 2017 model has two USBs; one behind the dash phone mount and one in the glove box. There's an aux plug on the radio.

Took delivery of a 1.2 Lounge in 2015 with factory TomTom which took power through the dashmount tray and cradle.
If you can get your dash tray out of the top of the dash you may find power attached?
It may then be fairly simple to attach the power to a new tray with the USB socket?

Let's clarify the issue:

From 2012 to about 2017, the Panda came with a radio, and, if Blue&Me was included, then there was a single USB and a single 'Aux in' socket on the dash near the gear lever (on the Cross is was a little further back nearer the handbrake)

From about 2017, all but the basic Panda came with a uConnect radio and a phone holder on the dash. Alongside the phone holder was a USB socket that only supplied power - no connection from it to the radio. But, inside the glovebox was a small box with a second USB socket on it (which could give power but also provided a connection to the radio for, say a wired music source or a USB stick with music files on it). There was also an Aux In socket there (3.5mm jack)

The issue that started this post was that from midway through 2018, that little box in the glovebox was dropped - you only had one USB socket (with both power and music connection), by the phone holder on the dash. This appears to be because (nearly) everyone now streams music using Bluetooth from the phone (and very likely from a cloud service liek Spotify) and so Fiat could save a few bob by leaving out the second USB connector.

So yes, if you have a pre 2017 car, you'll have a socket - either near the gealever or on the dash. And if you have a post 2017 (but pre August 2018) car, you'll have a socket in the glovebox too. The OP has I believe since had the ;missing' extra port in the glovebox added by the dealer.
