I wish to self-fit fit wireless reversing sensors to my vehicle - £24 from Amazon for a set including visual display and drill etc compared to about £200-£300 to have them professionally fitted. I know some people don't like them but I get on well with them. I fitted them to my Panda 2 three or four years ago and have also fitted them to my Auto-sleeper motorhome. Today I am taking delivery of a July 2013 Panda 3 Easy and want to fit them again but the car is totally different to the Panda 2 in terms of design and electrics.
Does anyone have any tips for fitting on this particular vehicle - Where is the best place to fit (I assume on the black bar between the reversing and fog lights), is it necessary to remove the bumper, Is there enough room for the standard sensors or do I need slim fits, does the Canbus cause problems etc, etc. I am a strong believer in doing my research before jumping in. All help and advice appreciated except for those who try to get me to pay someone else to do it! Thanks
Dave
