Not sure if this picture will be any bigger, you could check in my FF gallery for a better resolution.

Tyre size is 205/40/17. The 7" wheel is very close the inner wheel arch as the with an offset of only 38 you have any extra 22mm in board. I fitted a set of spacers on the rear which has put the clearance on the inside back to where it was. Just need to get some for the front too, to balance up the look.

Not to everyone's taste I know, but I like it.

Mike

How does it feel on the road, Mike? And do the new wheels sap the performance?

On the road it feels fine, although I think the rear springs are a little soft, may investigate fitting my abarth dampers when I change the suspension on that one. As for the performance, what can I say. .... it's a FIAT multi jet diesel, you don't miss what you never had. But joking aside can't feel any difference.

I ended up going with 16mm spacers, made sure I had plenty clearance.

It's a pity you're not in the UK I've taken my wheels off to put my winter ones back on and have decided to sell my Abarth wheels and tyres.

So, theoretical you create a 22 offset with 16mm spacers.
I'm running 7x16" with ET31 and 195 tires with 10-12 mm space on the inside, with ET 38 it would mean 3-5 mm.
With the 205 tire it would be almost zero.
