Hello everyone,

I have two questions on the new Fiat Panda. If anyone owns a car with the option of sliding rear seats can you please tell me

1) Does the sliding rear seats move backwards from the default position so that more space is available to passengers on the back or does it move forward from its default position so that it provides more space for storage in the trunk?

2) Can the option of sliding rear seats be combined with split back seats (50:50 or 60:40)

Thank you in advance for the information

Thanks
Maria

My car has this. I think it does allow the seats to go further back as the parcel shelf is not as deep compared to standard cars. Of course it slides forward as well to provide more boot space. The back is split 50:50 which I had thought was the only option. Conveniently the sliding and tilting can be operated from the boot as well as from the inside via levers just under the seat squab.

Given the chance I'd always spec a new panda with this option - it really is very useful.
