Hey all,

Had to drop my 88E 1000cl panda off this morning for the dreaded MOT. Im hoping it should go straight through with little if any trouble! Guess il just have to wait for the call from the garage - the mechanic said to me this morning "a panda - dont see many of them about anymore". Il keep you all informed ;)

it jus keeps on goin!

It's true though. They're fairly rare now on the road!

Well it failed but the outlook is rosy! it failed on the front windscreen washer not working and the boot lock is jammed. Everything else is fine! Im thinking of selling it now it will have a new MOT as l hardly use it anyway so l will put some details on the site later if anyones interested in it, as its a really good example of the car and l would rather it went to an enthusiast as such.

it jus keeps on goin!

Just a question:is the "dreaded" MOT an exam which all the cars are to be put through to circulate on the public roads? If yes it's the same of our "overhaul" (if this is the correct translation:I) and in Italy the 1st time comes after 4 years from the registration, then every 2 years! Are to be checked:the bodywork for rust and/or structural damages (ie accidents), all the lights, safety belts, seats, engine's emissions, exhaust pipe conditions and brakes efficiency including the handbrake! My Panda has been examined 1 month ago and all worked well...I was scared about the brakes, but they were well balanced (left/right and front/rear) developing an average front force of 1600Newton, while the rear gave 900N, according to the loads on the two axles:).What are your values with/without the servo??

Passion has neither brands nor models!
