Wanting to put 55/60 H4 bulbs in my L-reg 1000CLX, Is there a conversion adaptor i can buy and from where if there is so the H/L unit will seat the H4's properly. Does the conversion improve it much and are the H/L units OK to stand the increased heat from the halogen bulbs. Any help greatfully recieved via a PM if you could.....Neil

Neil you can buy 55/60w bulbs for the panda have a search on the site as it was posted a while back.

I put a set of H4 bulbs in my 1990 1000s when I had it. Nothing had to be done except take the olb bulbs out and put the H4s in.

Last time I checked I had a spare couple of the halogen sets... If I can find one of them i will drop it off on my way to collect my Mum from Warrington tomorrow... I'll give you a bell if i find them.

I expect i may at some point need you wiring expertise so consider it a trade

They're called p45t, which are H4s but have the same R2 base as the originals.

Get the ones in the link above. I had some standard H4 bulbs (p43t base) and the beam pattern was shocking even with p45t>p43t adapters.

The ebay ones are about the only acceptable bulbs available IMO, you MIGHT have to upgrade the standard wiring to take the extra current.
