Hi all

I have just taken the black cover off my brava and bought a socket set to change the plugs... can see 4 things that look like might be plug thingys with copper type pipe coming outta em.... are these glow plug things and how the **** do i get them out???

After all im only a girl trying to fix a car...

If you dont know what your doing best leave it alone but I'm sure the peeps in the bravo section will help you out here.. welcome to the forum (y)

Hi and welcome to here,, no those "plug thingy's" with a copper pipe coming out of them are your injectors, what is the problem with your car that you want to change the plugs? Yours being the duiesel you will hardly ever need to change the glow plugs (that and the fact that they are near impossible to get to)

hi i have a 1910 td why do you think you need to replace the plugs
cheers mark

Well my 1.9 Multijet Punto HGT has the glow plug failure light almost every time I start the engine but the engine starts without any problem first time so I guess if its not broken, dont fix it! (y)

Still if anyone has any advice on if this is NOT a glow plug issue a maybe wiring then Id be happy to hear any advice on solving it without changing glow plugs!

Cheers

it has had problems starting when cold and damp, takes ages to start up and loads of crap outta back.. but on mon when it was freexing, wont start at all.. the glow light plug has been flashing when started for bout 60 secs after for last 9 months but been starting so left it be, but now it wont do nothing, it will turn over but wont start, and now drained the battery trying... x

in that case you do need to change your plugs.

download the fiat manuals, theynhave instrucitons, you need volume 1 if it is a 1996-1998 model or volume3 if it is a 1999 or later model.
