Posts: 510 Thanks: 34 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Glopsy Never bought a key on its own bud, I did go the the other way tho = change the complete set up : key and barrel, all door locks, ecu, blah, blah, blah, Resulted in a greater understanding of the very best and most juiciest words of profanity, oh and knuckles that were sliced n diced to perfection. It did mean I had a car back in use after the original key (one only) was lost. Plus, it was cheaper to go the long way than buy a Stealer Key. George

Posts: 235 Thanks: 2 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Glopsy Morning all, Glopsy is booked in for an MOT on the 15th,and today I'll be giving her the once over to see if there's any obvious fails I can rectify. One thing that has just started is a whine from the aircon pump. I'm guessing that as the system has a leak somewhere,all the gas has escaped,taking the oil with it? Apart from that, she's running well and a 50 mile commute in her yesterday has blown a few cobwebs out for sure. Plans for when the MOT is hopefully passed will be a full service and Id like to hire a decent carpet cleaner and smarten up the interior,but that can wait until the weather warms up. I'm still on the lookout for a replacement however,as she has lacquer peel on most panels now and the clutch needs changing,which to rectify is uneconomic for me really.

Posts: 3,128 Thanks: 52 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Glopsy If the AC has no gas/oil in it the seals will dry up and it'll get to a point where it wont hold gas ever again. That can be a massive pain to sort so best to just get it filled up with gas even if you're not using it asap |
