I generally don't like seeing oil draining out of bonnets like that, though if you can see it as a silver lining then great!

Yeah especially when that oil is basically £40 a time!!!

Nope no silver lining really but at least it stops me from crying

Aw no Biggie!

Are you getting your pops to help you? Where have you come across a replacement engine so quick?

Liam

He certainly is roped him in to help for the weekend... :)

Got offered the whole car a few weeks ago basically the body and chassis is beyond repair although the engine is good and also has a few other bits and pieces like rear roll cage... :D All for the sum of...... £150

Yeah knew it wasn't going to be cheap owning it but hey never mind..

So far:
£140 on a new Clutch
£40 on oil
£150 on donor car (with cage)
and loads on petrol so not doing too bad for about 3weeks of ownership :D

I'm just dreading working how much rebuilding the knackered engines gonna cost me to the spec I want it! Lol

Yeah and start by ditching that blooming bleed valve and get it set up proper!

When rebuilding an engine, always factor in double what you think cos you always think that there is something you can do will this is a part or that is out the way if you follow.

If you Dads still over at weekend, you still going to Rally Day or giving it a miss? I'll still drop by if your not going

Aaron.

Well after a VERY busy weekend the car is running again with a new engine.. it needs some tweaking still as it only runs on 3 cylinders when under load so new plugs etc will be tried tonight..

Was definately a melted piston btw did take a picture on my phone but then left it in the rain so it is toatlly fu<ked...

I am happy for you Jamie!

So what were you doing to melt a piston...;) Sucks it happened immediately after you got it.
