Hi all
I am new to this forum thingy but thought i would see if i could get some advice.
I have just had my cambelt changed on my 2000 Marea 1.6 16v.The garage said they had also changed the Pulley wheel (Whatever that is)?.While driving,once the Revs get to between 2000 & 2.500 rpm there is a tinny rattling noise.Above 2.500 it stops.This wasnt there before,only since the belt was replaced.Any ideas what could be causing it.If so what parts will need replaced.?

As this is for saying HI etc, you'll get a better response, something sounds not right, but are you sure its not your exhaust heat shield?

The pulley is called the tensioner.

Hi all again
I have checked the heat shield on the exhaust and that is fine.Also i revved the car to see if i could hear where it was coming from.To no avail.The only way i can describe the noise is like a speeded up cracking sound between 2000 and 2500 rpm.This sound doesnt start until the car has had time to warm up and then gradually gets worse.I suspect the PS pump.Any ideas much appreciated .
