hi just changed headgasket on my 1999 weekend 2.0 20v and the rev are idleing at 2000 rpm shortly after being turned on, the revs are controlled by the ecu i believe. anything i should check.

Check for air leaking in, if it gets in after the throttle body it's the equivalent of having the throtle open slightly.

The throtle cable's not caught or too tight, is it?
