basically i bought my car from arnold clark, and took out the two yr warranty extension on it, which kicked in in march after the 3rd yr fiat warranty ran out. basically do I need to get it serviced at arnold clark, or can I get it done elsewhere? (without voiding the warranty) does anyone know how much a service is from fiat? (arnold is £69) I don't even know if side street garages offer cheaper services, or if they do as much as arnold clark does, oir even fiat for that matter. I would prefer fiat to do it if possible because they work on the cars day in day out, where-as arnold clark maybe only see a few puntos a week. sorry to bore you all, but I just thought maybe someone would have a bit more knowlege at this sort of stuff than me

cheers

look under your warranty details but im sure itll say they will have to do it.they got u twice over-buy warranty and go back for servicing (labour and parts if it doesnt cover u).

I purchased my Stilo from AC and collected it on Monday, I have to say that their extended warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on, there are so many loopholes in it. For example did u know that the maximum the warranty will pay for parts & labour is £2000 per claim ? Having my previous Stilo's head gasket and various engine parts reconditioned, I was able to see how pointless their warranty is.

Have you had a look at www.warrantydirect.co.uk or www.warrantywise.co.uk both offer competitive warranties with much fewer get out clauses. Mine is through Warranty Direct and allows me to claim up to the purchase price of my car and I can take it anywhere to get fixed.

There should be a cooling off period for the warranty, check if you can get out.

Incidentally where did u get your Punto from ? If u reply with Glasgow Fiat - Allison St you have my sympathies

Doubt if you'll beat £69 as that includes all filters & plugs. Was it a Fiat garage you brought it from? Where abouts are you located?
