Hi guys! I’ve just bought a 2009 fiat 500 lounge and although I’ve synced in via blue&me to my iPhone 8 and can make calls from the steering wheel I just cannot for the life of me figure out how to play music from my playlist?! I’ve connected my phone via charging cable to the USB port but it can’t find any media... can anyone help please?

Hi.and welcome Naomi :)

The SEARCH on here is excellent.. either the ICE section.. or for your car.. the 500 section ;)

But.. its a windows:microsoft service.. so The i phone may well be the issue. :(

Ah I see but it does say on the YouTube vids I’ve watched that it should pair up through the usb? I was just wondering if there was a setting I’d missed? Thanks for your reply!

There is blue and me and blue and me 2, if you have blue and me 2 you just plug the phone in, this is how it works on my 2011 Punto Evo. If you have blue and me (1) you need a little usb adaptor to get it to work.

I think it’s likely from the year of your car you may need the adaptor to get it to work

Fab thank you - you know my next question is going to be where do I get the usb adaptor from don’t you [emoji23]

you used to be able to get the adaptor in Fiat Dealers, possibly still can but as these cars get older fiat have started to not stock older items.

You can also go on ebay and search for Blue and Me USB adaptor, its a white little plug with some blue writing on it.

I agree with Eklipze3k however, these radios are old now and even with the adaptor there is often no guarantee it will work, it may be wiser to invest in a new radio.

So I know this is going to sound really dumb but if I get another radio will that be compatible or do I need a certain kind? Thanks so much for you help! ... I did manage to wangle it through an app but the sound quality was abominable !
