Help needed

hi folks, i currently drive a mk2 punto but decided its time for a chnage so next month im going to start looking. I was thinking of a t jet 1.4 or a m -jet and i knwo its not fiat but a c2 vts but unsure of what the pro and cons are about the two fiats.

Thanks cooks

well.... i had and mjet and my mate has a VTS by loeb ...... DONT get a VTS its been the the garage more times for silly stuff its unreal.... the interior is TERRIABLE and the seats and horriable and about a suportive as a bike seat.

oh and its french

the mjet and tjet is a huge debate..... if you do plenty of miles get a mjet if you dont do a lot of mines get a tjet.... there very similar in performance. i loved my mjet! .... infact i love the GP so much i bought an abarth....

to compair the the GP to the C2 with reguards to power there very similar due to the C2 been very light. they are a lot less practical though!

odviously the GP has its flaws.... cars for this price always have but its certainly got the looks. The blue and me can be a little fiddely but when you have sorted it its really handy - something the C2 doesnt come with also.

Re: Help needed

Yer my mate has a VTS and its stupidly fast for what it is tbh, its just like a tin lol, but thats why i like them cheap and cheerful. But the GP is swaying me as in summer i wioll be driving from chester-le-street ( Durham) to middlebrough every day lol, so maybe teh m jet is the best, but i dont want to be shown up by his VTS! lol. how is the arbarth whish i could get insured???

Re: Help needed

have you checked the insurance on the abarth?

even though its much higher group, i can insure it cheaper than an m-jet, almost as cheap as the T-jet.

I looked at C2's before i got mine, they were awful inside.

most t-jets are getting rr results at around 140bhp aswell- 20 above what Fiat say they have

Re: Help needed

my Mjet didnt get shown up my the VTS... it would do me off the line but apart from that they were very close. - one tip though would be to lower the mjet.... it did havea tendancy to roll.... the C2 doesnt. but the fiat has a LOT better interior

as for the Abarth yeah its GREAT =D im loving it anyways its not stupidly fast but it is quick and does suprise people.... its leaves the C2 :P

i would check the insurence on the abarth mate.... with elephant.com i got it very cheap to say its G.I 14! (im 22)

Re: Help needed

:O thats quite cheap. Yer my mates lowered his c2 not like it needed it any way Its stupid has no roll at all quite scary the amount of grip it has lol, i still liked my sisters boy freinds Saxo tho , felt like they were on rails lol.
Spec the VTS, quite fast but poor build and quality so he bought a golf.

But any way, yer think the M-jet is the way and the abarth is quite expesive to buy atm

20bhp more:O dusnt the normal abarth only push 155:O unless you get the ss or w.e its called :S not to clued up tbh. why do fiat underpower them?

Cheers cooks?

Re: Help needed

well if they told everyone the T-jet was 140bhp and the abarth is only 15bhp more...

although i dont know what standard abarths are getting rr'd at tbh.

Fiat might have done it for insurance grouping aswell

it was suposed to be a 1.6 Mjet the Tjet is still 1.4...... it was coming then it disapeared.

the abarth has a fair amount of tauque in it mate it is pritty quick its deffinatly a lot quicker than my old mjet.

as for the abarth been expensive.... theres an SS for sale on ebay for 13k when you think that new the SS is 17500 ...... its not a bad saving! :P

Re: Help needed

I is quicker than an abarth innit.

there will not be a 1.6 turbo in a Fiat, VX got this engine when the 2 worked together to develop engines and VX got the 1.6.

completly agree with the astra comment - i cant stand them either .get with a mjet or Tjet then mate - you can get some fantastic deals on them at the minute! - as i say if you do many miles go with the mjet you get REALLY good MPG with it especially on a motorway!
