Help?!

I have similar on my rollerblades but they are hex heads, not sure what the official name for them is, Ive always known them as tube bolts but I don't think thats right.

Hi, I cant actually remember. I used to fix kitchens, I do know that B&Q, Wickes and Homebase (maybe Ikea also) sell them seperately. When you get the documentation they don't actually tell you what there called either, they label it A,B,C etc. Ill try and find out what there called for you though. :D

I've tried all sorts of names for them on google... Can't find anything! Will go for a look around B&Q leter.

P.S. What you think of my mad MS Paint skills? :D

Are you fitting in a kitchen then Rob :D Good luck I'v just fitted in ours I just hope YOU havnt bought it from B&Q  :D

Yep fitting my kitchen. I've got appliances and cupboards in nearly every room in the house. Oven and hob in the living room, dishwasher and cupboards in the dinning room. Worksurfaces down the hall not to mention the kitchen which is already fitted with most of the units on a temp basis..

My cabinets are from Focus. Got them in a 50% sale + 19% off for being a recent home mover. With those sort of discounts we went for the Country Oak cupboards - real oak doors :D

Focus currently have 60% off their kitchens and you might still be able to get another 19% off with the home mover discount. If not then 10% off is available to those over 60 on a tuesday so if you're under 60 take a parent/grandparent :D

back in my skater days they were called sex bolts. used to hold the side rails on. in fact ive just found some on ebay. not quite the thing you are after though. or are they?

We bought the oven and hob from them but took the sink/taps back they were very poor quality the sink was like tissue paper microns thin  and cut my hands to pieces it was sooo sharp utter rubish (n) the oven and hob are excellent Italian made :D and no warning lights beep beep :p

I don't let the German influence in our appliances filter into my choice of vehicles. Closest I've been to that was my Seat Ibiza. Around the house though it's the Bosch range - oven, hob, extractor, fridge, freezer, dishwasher........microwave though is a Samsung :D

Sink from B&Q, taps and everything else (plumbing and electrics) from toolstation.com

Not sure what kind of reaction I'm going to get asking for sex bolts. But here goes.. back in 30 mins unless I get arrested :D

I imagine you have gone and bought them now but you dont need them just screw the cabinets together underneath the door hinges and hey presto concealed screws :p but dont forget to pilot drill the first cabinet first and countersink the hole or the hinge wont sit properly (y)

Well I've been let out for good behaviour!

Almost right Liam but wanted the metal ones :D I'm fussy like that since they fit behind the hinges.

The bolts and fixings guy said "We don't stock them. We never have." What he meant was the bolts and fixings department, not B&Q as a whole. Not liking the attitude there.

Kitchens guy though took one look, and ran off saying "you stay there - I'll get them!"

go to IKEA. they have them by the bucketfull. just say you're missing some screws, and show them a picture and they'll hand one or two out.

Well so far we've avoided having out cabinets stolen ;)

It's took a while, but we're nearly there! Just some tiling and finishing to go!

:D
