Yep... Aparently they're all over the place... people in the flat downstairs have complained (when I say people... where is the steam coming out of the ears smilie) Aparently their under our floor (their ceiling)... so I've just had the floor boards up so the rat man can come and inspect...

Now I'm no expert, but... I can say with some certanty there are no rats in the floor...its just not possible. But just supposing that on the off chance that a loan rat did manage to somehow gnaw into the floorspace our joists are about 6in apart (talk about over engineering, but the house still wobbles), thats some nibbling to be done. To get accross one room there is at least 18 beams to gnaw through, and to get accross the entire house . Still it only takes one to make the way.

Anyway... if you put rat poision down will I then attract rats, is it infact just better to live in ignorance?

I thought it was bad to use rat poison indoors in case they die where you can't reach them and stink the house out.

hate rats and mice... but suprised uve got rats indoors i always thought rats would stay outside round bins and stuff and just mice would venture inside because they're smaller and squeeze through smaller holes!

Ooohh yes they can indeed I remember the first house we bought we were buiding an extension forgot to block up hole where the old outside loo had been damn thing ran right between my legs put the shivers up me I can tell you worst thing was I had to kill it couldnt have that thing running around worst part was the screaching as I stuck a loonngg bar in it makes me shudder now
