Just like what a lot of you are saying, I think a dual camera setup is the best option with dash cams. But I'm finding that the options in the UK are pretty poor.. either cheap (i.e. bluelotus i1000 - unreliable) or very expensive (Blackvue DR550GW - with poor bit rate resulting in pixelated videos)

Ignoring price somewhat, i'm after something as good as my GoPro Hero2, but has seamless + looping functions and will run with a constant 12v.
Has anyone come across anything matching these requirements?

mi-witness and blackvue appear to be the closest but are over £300 and still don't match the GoPro's picture quality...

I'm planning to move my F70 around a bit, maybe putting a mobius in the front with a lens extension (wrapping the lens in sugru to provide a mounting pad as well as an eyelid to help keep the sun out), I can then put the main cam from my F70 into the rear window & use the small secondary cam in my offside window.
Then again, I make a lot of plans in my head & never get around to seeing them through :D

Well, let me tell you all about my day today.

My dash cam finally arrived Monday but with me on lates I couldn't pick it up until today :(

Anyway when I got home I sat down with a brew inspecting/messing with it, then all of a sudden a knock on the door, it was the postman with a package.

Thats funny I thought as I hadn't bought any thing else  when i opened up the package, what did I see ....?

Another Dash Cam :D:D:D
They sent me 2 by accident !

Put it away for a while, wait and see if they contact you.

Then fit it at the rear of the car.
:)

They sent me 2 by accident !

This presents a dilemma.
If you keep it, is this theft? So should you tell them or not?
Does them sending it class as unsolicited goods?
It would be up to the sender to arrange its return, at no cost to you, so they would either have to refund postage, send a return paid label, or arrange a courier to collect. If it came from China, you'd probably get to keep it.

My advice would be to wait a fortnight, to give plenty of time to prove that the first one is working well and reliable. (Don't want to return a good one and keep a duff one) Then email them and advise an extra has arrived. See what they say. If they realise earlier, admit it and apologise for not telling them sooner.

Well I don't intend on using it and with it only been £20 I don't intend selling it on either, I think I'll just wait. With it been from China though I would've thought it would be more hassle for the seller.

If it had been an expensive product £50+ them obviously that's a different story

More than likely they'll never know, and because it's only £20 they'd probably tell you to keep it, not worth sending it back.

Seems the right decision. You have a spare for if it breaks.
