Hello again (lost the thread I submitted a few moments ago, oh well here goes again...)

I posted on the 'Sig Sizes' thread recently, taking the special trouble to create a nice big signature pic. I scoured around for ages for somewhere to post it on the 'net, and ended up creating my own MSN Group (my ISP is affiliated to MSN, so groups is what you get...) I was careful to make the group 'public'.

Anyway the next reply in the thread was 'your sig doesn't work lol' - so today I set up another PC so that I could check (now that's vanity!) and sure enough it doesn't work (of course, it does on my PC). I wonder if you have to be signed in with an MSN Passport, in which case it still sucks anyway but it'd be nice if anyone could confirm/deny this.

I rang my ISP today and was cooly told "we don't provide personal web space any more". That seems pretty strange considering that I'm with XTRA, probably New Zealand's largest ISP, being owned by Telecom (our equivalent of BT!)

So can anyone recommend any free website options for me to check out?

Thanks,
-Alex

Alex22: thanks :) It's Alexander Graham, and if that doesn't ring a bell...

pghstochaj: Good idea, unfortunately PhotoBucket are not accepting new 'free' members (though they say they will after December 1st).

Stuart: Unfortunately when I try to upload a picture to the Members Gallery, I get the following error:
-----
MySQL error reported!

Script: bulkupload

Query: INSERT INTO pp_notify (id,userid,photo) values(NULL,,1992)

Result: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '1992)' at line 1

Database handle: Resource id #25
-----

I have heard of MySQL, but have no idea how to overcome above error (apart from retrying a few times, which I have)...

Thanks,
-Alex

pghstochaj,
Interestingly, www.imageshack.com takes you to a page telling you that it is not the imaging hosting service, that is www.imageshack.us, which then brings up a page that has www.imageshack.com in the address bar.

I'm just registering now. BTW your response to this forum is instant!

Also the URL cracked me up briefly, because I read it as 'images hack'...

If not Alex, just let me know and I will host it on my photobucket for you and just give you the link :) That's not a problem.

It's instant because i have an hour to kill before my labs session this afternoon, I am supposed to be making a website but the server won't show it so I am in "****" this afternoon :S Ahhh lovely computers!

pghstochaj,
How familiar with your server problem... meanwhile I wonder if Sammiboo has decided not to bother viewing the thread again, meaning that I'm stuck because if I fix it, we won't know if it might have worked with a sign-in, and if I don't fix it, well it doesn't work.

I'd like to know if my MSN Group might be useful for UK-readers with a Passport. If not, there's not much point setting it up with the grand plans that I have!

Thanks,
-Alex

I tried logging in and it failed.

I think it's best you either email me the signature (PM for email address) or use imageshack :)
