Woo! The new driveway is done! Instead of an irritating front lawn we now have a brand spanking new granite tiled driveway.

The delightful Irish bloke who put it in just dropped by for the final inspection and payment. Earlier this morning I'd moved the beast off the drive and around the corner so we could do the final driveway inspecrtion and his first comment was 'ahh, where's the little 500, that's a gorgeous car'

:D

Lucky new driveway having a 'happy' 500 sitting on it :D ...think we need a pic of your new drive and happy car ;)

 OMG :yeahthat:

We got 3 cars (some neighbours got 2/3 plus a transit work van).

We normally have two on drive and one on road (mine).

Had dad's smashed up car being returned by insurance company at 0700hrs on a Monday morning.

So parked all taxed and insured car's of ours on the road that night so mother didn't have to move hers at stupid o'clock etc and so we could get the wrecked car into the back of the drive.

When I was at work dad said the silly lady from over the road said could we park them on the drive because she couldn't get parked outside her house (again a matter of parking further down the road and walking a few hundred yards).

Dad said no and explained why. She didn't seem happy, but though tits.

She's now on a one car crusaid always trying to block my Stilo in (yet to suceed), so she's found dad and I parked each side of her before now with only 30CM spare each side. :p

Not saying what car she's got as she will know its her were talking about if she randomly searches on here, but it 500 sized ;)

Jon.

People are weird about parking. Were it not for the fact that my neighbour is mentally ill and would likely take to the 500 with an axe if I deliberately parked her in I'd happily park it in such a position as to **** her off nightly.

Hmm. Might check the classifieds. Fill up my street with cheap cento's :D

In happier news I'm going to break in the new driveway shortly by changing the front top mounts on the 500. :D

Well I think I can call this thread sods law.

Dad's Panda parked on road, neighbours Zafira infront and local taxi driver has forced himself into the space infront of the Zafira, by ramming the Zafira into dad's car, and the Vectra the otherside of the space also.

Only 3 inches each side of this taxi at the mo!

Appears neighbours can be really odd about parking. When we knew that I was getting a car, we made the drive hold three cars, so there wouldn't be a car on the road.

Women next door moans about anything (moaned about weeds growing under the fence...), few years ago we used to have people come round twice a day for a hour to help with some physio for my brother (He's servilely<sp?> disabled, and the physio would give him a better quality of life hopefully). We told her (and others) what was happening so they knew. She still moaned when someone parked infront of her house, not infront of her drive, the house. Mum has had a go at her a few times...thats fun to watch.

Got another women who lives about 5 doors up, who drives some huge 4x4, clearly doesn't need it, drives to the house that is across the road from us, and nearly always parks infront of our drive, and although its not against the law as we dont have a dropped curb, she knows we use all three spaces, she even parked infront of the drive when I was about to drive out...looked at me and walked away.
