having a gentle cruise around in the nice weather. Keeping within the speed limits all the way. Then come to an empty country road with a 40 limit, was doing about 50, slowed to about 47 for a crest and what's parked at the other side? Yup, you guessed it, a police speed camera van!

I didn't realise it was one of those, but I saw a motocycle copper about 50yrds before so i put the anchors on for him, slowed to about 42 as i passed him then noticed the van. So I might have got off with it but I just know that the cameras would be pointing towards the top of the crest (that's where they're more likely to rake in the cash!lol) So i'm preparing for the envelope.

just hope the operator was looking at someone else at the time, where u less than 100 yards away from them when u slowed down, u should be able to get away if it was 46mph

stus right my sister was speeding and a camera flashed her and she never got a ticket and this is some time ago

it was one of those vans. I'm so tempted to go back with my digital camera and take a pic of them. here's the scenario in my head:

Me: <click click>
Copper: What the **** are you doing? (if anyone thinks the copper would not say this, you weren't there when i got pulled last week!lol)
Me: well you took a picture of me so I wanted to take a picture of you
Copper: you cheeky little bastard <cuffs me and shoves me in the back of the van for a bum raping!lol

Gaz, the van was parked about 100yrds away from the crest, so I think I'm boned. Oh well

i bet the person operating the camera wasnt even a copper, they have normal people doing that job now

lol, i wouldnt really worry too much, ive been crapping myself over speed cameras before and it not worth it

thing that surprises me it that I'm not crapping myself!lol I'm not really bothered at all. I just see it as £60 and 3 points that I deserve by now. It's well known that I'm a little to happy with the right foot. Only thing that worries me is calling the insurance company

I wouldn't worry too much about the insurance peeps. I've got 2 tickets
*cough* *ahem* and the only extra it cost me was to get all 3 policies
updated with the new details on. (Less than a tenner admin charge it was
for updating all 3) !!!!

It won't cost you this year, but it will next year.

I've renewed one of the policies since and it didn't go up at all !

Never mind Sie only another six months then you get your other six poins to play with . It's weird these days with all the speed cameras etc. how we no longer talk about having a clean licence but are just pleased to have a licence at all . You've had your warning Sie I hope it makes you more careful

Sie, if the speedo said 47 and it's anything like mine, you'll have been doing about 43 - 44 max. I'd think you'll be ok.

My silver one is a good 4mph out at 30, and I think 6mph out at 80.
