Is it mandatory you pull over if you cause one to slow down somewhat harsh, but otherwise no damage caused? Someone basically tried to force me to pull over and then follow me when I refused.

People do it to me all the time and I don't even sound my horn, I just slow down and get on with my daily life. Anyways I just wanted to know the law about it as I know you go to if there has been damage

its also polite to try and avoid killing/harming people

if someone pulled out on you an caused you to brake harshly for example, you'd say it was your fault cos you should have been looking where you were going?

Ah I wasn't thinking pulling out of a sideturning I was thinking more an unexpected stop caused by say something in the road e.t.c. in which case driver behind is liable however not leaving enough space when pulling out or failing to get up to road speed in a timely manner is damned annoying if not worth trying to force someone the road for.

if you've braked harshly due to someone else infront or your driver error regardless the person behind should abide the highway code and hazard awareness and stop in time/keep the correct distance. pulling over to talk it out is gonna be no good!

as someone else has said it happens to me all the time, i just keep calm maybe mutter a little bit but just get on with life. if i'm the one in front and its my fault i just get on with it. i once gestured to say sorry and the guy took as me flagging him so i just keep my eyes on the road and carry on.

this happened to me on my bike
a car pulled out on me i swerved in between the cocks bonnet and the people carrier which gave a nice honk
he then pulled in front of me to check that i was OK and he was shocked that i wasn't on the floor
other car went into the day

I wouldn't stop, it's called road rage. If you do stop would you want to know if they're a bit of a nob who would kick the crap out of you?

happened to me before, I didn't stop so he followed me right up my a*se, but I knew the roads better than him and made sure I didn't get to no traffic lights etc and shook him off.

So whats the question? Me a bit confused:confused::p

Is it

A) is it ok to pull out of a side road and make them have to slow down when you could have waited for them to pass then go;

NO, it's not ok, unless they're speeding meaning they have to slow down because your sticking to the speed limit.

B) is it ok to make someone go slow because you are.

Yes and No. Doing 55 in a 60 is no crime. 40 in a 60 is a bit inconciderate if you are able to slow down and don't , unless thing's like heavy fog means your doing that speed which mean's your sensible.(y)

or not 40 in heavy fog?
without front fogs or with?
my car dont have them so.
i cant drive so fast in fog since i am inexperianced and end up following other peoples fogs. bad me.
lucky i dont see much fog at moment

Was an example, you go as fast as you can see(y)

O, and front fogs don't mean you can go 10MPH faster than everyone else, you still need to go only as fast as you can see(y)
