dont get a personalised no. plate, there truely is no point unless you're a millionaire with a small dick :(

:worship:

This man speaketh the truth!

Plus the average (not the expensive) private plates mean nothing to anyone except the owner.

"It's my initials/ the '8' looks like a 'B'/ the '4' looks like an 'R' " etc. etc. says the proud owner.

Yet to the rest of the world it's just a number plate like everyone elses and the average person really wouldn't have a clue/ give a fcuk as to what it's supposed to mean. And it proves that you were sucker enough to pay the Government even more money for old rope...

Still, some people like their egos being massaged

EDIT:

Luckily I am a divy millionaire with a small dick or after reading this thread I might have felt silly for having a private reg. :woot:

I didn't actually realise that you had a private plate! I thought it was just a coincidence that you had '666' in there...

I agree, BUYING personalised plates is for ******s. I say buying because I bought a car with personalised plates BLU-DVL, which I am going to change for the original rego when I can be bothered, the $$ from selling the plate will cover the re-rego and for the repro plate.

personalised plate = look at my car, its a hunk of ****...

I didn't assume anything..when someone says something is from Ireland or is Irish..this means its from ROI..if someone says something is from Northern Ireland or Northern Irish or British, then this is NI.

Someone made the mistake by referring to NI as Ireland..Ireland and Northern Ireland are two SEPARATE countries!! Do people mix up France and Germany because they share a border? Any Scottish or Welsh people I have ever met do not like to be referred to as English..because they are Scottish or Welsh and not from England! I am merely differentiating for people who cannot!

no if some one who isnt from roi or NI says ireland then they mean either one.

when some one says put irish plate on their car it always refers to ni because that is all that is legal, thats why there no need to say NI plate all the time:rolleyes:

Yes that makes alot of sense. My immaculate 2001 Marea 20V HLX with a personal registration is a hunk of **** when it is parked next to rough as a badgers arse 1996 mot failure 1.6 SX Marea.

Good point and well made sir. I'll be selling my plate to the next person that stops me asking how much I want for it. (y)

so if I say France..can I mean Germany? If I say Scotland, can I mean Wales? If I say Slovenia can I mean Yugoslavia or Slovakia? Northern Ireland is a separate country from Ireland, with a different name.

No it isn't just people who are from ROI or NI, watch BBC, Sky News or read any newspaper..if you even do that...when Northern Ireland is mentioned it is named Northern Ireland and not Ireland. This is done as they are notably different countries and not to cause any ambiguity! I think even the Americans get it :spin:

No point in rolling your eyes, how am I to know the laws of registration within the UK when I live in a different jurisdiction! I doubt you know much about Irish law!

Generalisation on my part. Around where I live, the only people who have personalised plates are the chavs, where the most expensive part on the car IS the plate. No offense meant to you. In fact, I quite like the plate on your car. the 666 matches my DVL

i wanted to buy a new car this year and buy KN 08 END

but the DVLA not issuing KN08 plates :(

But they do issue KN03's. Have seen a Mini Cooper with KN03 ROT on around Kent. :D

Bought my plate which is on retention some years ago for my Mini Cooper and its worth 4 times what I paid for it. N90 TOY ! Keep thinking about selling it and pocketing the cash but never seem to get round to it LOL.

I too am a millionare tosser with a tiny dick, I have a personalised number on one of me Vespas AND ive bought one for my 500, which I dont even have yet, what a knob I am:)
In my pathetic defence, I dont have either my name or initials in either of them, purely because I hate the current reg. style and have too much money and no sense.

. . . . purely because I hate the current reg. style and have too much money and no sense.

:ROFLMAO: Spot on. - hate the format of new plates too. My Mini came with
LV02CYO :yuck:. N90 TOY seemed to suit better and for £295 why not, especially when you've just spent £14k on the motor.
