What's the longest commute anyone does?

Currently I am doing a 104 mile round trip, all on A and B roads, which is basically a tortuous route from North East Cheshire to North Shropshire. No dual carraigeway, no motorway and I have to negotiate several busy towns. It's a bleedin rubbish route but I beat my record this morning with 1hour 16 minutes.
It takes an hour and three quarters on the way home :bang:

well i don't know if it counts really but i don't work and still do a standard 36 mile trip daily from Monday to Friday on the school run

104 mile commute must seriously suck (n)

i do about 25 mile round trip, and i hate it, its just for one year untill i finish college, then i have a 1.5 mile commute :D will probably walk it!

i bought a bike as my work is so close. believe me though when u wake uup and step out the door in the winter and theres your car sat there, u cant help but drive!

My commute to work varies. Usually about ten metres to my office, but in February it will be 18,500km (11,500 miles) since I have to travel to London, Birmingham, and Manchester to present training courses. Oh and another 18,500km home again.

I live about ten minutes from the centre of town (7km each way), so I decided to save time by working from home instead :D Hence why I don't have a proper job. Saves time, saves fuel ;)

Depends on which work or works I am going to. My most scenic is 35 miles. 20 of which is up the side of Loch Lomond. Not a bad road most of the way, and stunning scenery as well.

Shortest is 10 miles, which I have cycled, although it did seem like 20 miles back.

Cheers

60 mile round trip, Norbert, your trip sounds like the one my ex boss used to make, telford to winsford daily, no one was suprised whhen he found himself a decent job in telford.....

117 miles each way to take daughter to work, no blooming mums on school run today though so was no traffic, got there n back in 4.5 hours stopped fr breakfast too.

on a school day it can be double that or more 9 hours one day only stopped for lunch :(

Are you completely mad you do that daily? :(

My commute is 32miles each way but 29 of those is on a fairly clear motorway at a steady 70mph+ :)

10 miles to get to my work :D

first 4 miles goes through small villages, a roundabout, twists and turns :p

then about a 4 mile dead straight road (y), and then a really wide nice bypass for about 1.5 miles :p, and then in an indusrial estate for approximately 0.5 miles ish :p
