Ok, not specifically a FIAT related question, but what I'd like is opinions on seven seaters/people carriers.

Which is the best with regard to comfort, reliability, value for money and m.p.g. it has to be a diesel by the way, and a budget of about £10k ???

I've searched the net for reviews and opinions are so divided it's impossible to come to any sort of conclusion.

Seat Alahmbra will be a decent buy

6 speed 1.9 TDI - we all know theyre pretty solid

You will get more equipment than the equivalent Sharan and Galaxy as they all come from the same factory in Spain (unsure about new galaxy though talking about the previous shape) and will be a cheaper buy

My dad used to have one and it never let him down

I have driven the Seat and Ford Galaxy - both not bad
The zafira is a nice car holds its value very well

But the best i have driven by far is the VW Touran 2.0 TDI Sport very well equipped, alloys, climate control, cruise control,140bhp,6 speed as well.

I drove the VW soon after the Vauxhall and found the build quallity is so much better on the VW.

Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 16v CDTi thats the one i would go for, the average is about 38mpg and its either 147bhp or its 150bhp aint sure and can do 0 to 62 mph in 9.7 sec.

No VXR Diesels yet, although there is an 888 astra diesel (new shape) that I quite like the look of!

Not that I can afford one anytime soon, and if I could, I'd probably by a Bimmer 330Cd :worship:

I'm thinking about purchasing a seven seater and starting an airport run business.....................

So it's got to be practical, reliable and diesel, oh and look good too, that's the Italian in me!

The only problem with the zafira if you are using it for this kind of business is it is probably the smallest one out of the lot mentioned and will have a rubbish boot unless you lower the seats. In fact they will all have rubbish boots with all seats up

However the class leader in terms of boot space is the kia sedona, however there might be an element of badge snobbery.

There are also a lot of VW transporter also but they are pricey
