Now when the fascia and monitor are in place, we can proceed with carputer installation. I first planned to make a box for housing and to put it in the trunk somewhere. When I removed front wents/hu mask, I saw a perfect place for motherboard. I first placed motherboard on hard sponge and fixed it with tape



did the same with harddisk



and installed them on their place.



The miniITX motherboard is about 16x16cm and it fits perfectly in the front vent hole and it stays in place with no vibrations or jumps. The upper chamber (where headunit was) I used for harddisk, usb soundcard and usb fm tuner.

The cable routing might be a tricky part, lot of patience is required. Do it slowly and everything will be ok.
