Possible Cause

If the box is wet inside, take it indoors and let it dry overnight. In my case the fuse box was dry but the largest connector was full of water. I dried this out with a hairdryer. I then put everything back together complete with a freshly charged battery. Car started with no warning lights showing.

The issue remaining is how the water got in. I suspect it was because the piece of rubber in the right hand corner of the engine bay was out of place.
This is held in place by a single plastic stud. The hole that the stud passes through was torn and the stud was lost. I have a Punto Evo myself, and I noticed that the engine fuse box on it is completely different. Maybe others have had this same issue.
