Stilo Fixing a seized boot lock on a FIAT STILO

1. Remove the plastic bit that is around the keyhole.
2. Around the middle there is a ''cut'' in which you find a spring, remove it
3. Turn around the lock and remove the little circlip ring and the end plate from the tip of the shaft.
4. Remove circlip than the washer than the shaft that are inside of the barrel.
5. push down on the black plastic bit while trying to push it through the hole once it has moved out of place remove it, than remove the inside ''barrell" bit. Look out for the spring not to shoot off anywhere!
6. Now you should be left with only the shiny bit of the actual lock barrell poking through the middle of the whole housing. Put it in a vice or in between two logs of wood or bricks or something solid and same height object. put a screwdriver onto the shiny end and gently tap it with a hammer. It should easily come out from the housing. Does it not? You did not forget step 2. Did you?
7. I put mine in 20% spirit winegar which destroys lime that is causing it being seized and after a day it still was not clean and badly corroded, but if you put the key in yours and the little claws retract than you are done you can reassemble everything in reverse order starting from step 6.
Or try and agitate the little sliding reeds with a flathead screwdriwer and the gentle tapping of a hammer while trying to blow out the built up dirt.

BEFORE REASSEMBLING CLEAN EVERYTHING WITH BREAKCLEANER AND REGREASE THE WHOLE UNIT TO AVOID WATER GETTING IN AGAIN.
