All due respect damo yeah minis are bad little cars but you think how much extra you gotta spend on a mini!! they come with next to nothin extras wise! i would rather get a gp sportin which looks the nuts, costs a lot less, comes with alot of extra bits for free and theres plenty of room for two in the back seats!! if ya know what i mean! and still blow whatever money i saved on a holiday to the maldives! so mini v gp? gp everytime!:slayer:

I swapped a MINI Cooper for a GP Sporting and I have to say that Fiat are never going to touch them in the customer service department, but MINI's are by no means bulletproof.

Only had mine a week and the tyre pressure sensors failed and I ended up driving round for 2 days with a punchture and exceeding the maximum speed for the runflats by quite a bit only realised there was a problem when the tyre wall collapsed

All cars go wrong no matter how much you spend on them.

If I had the choice tomorrow between a New MINI Cooper or a New GP Sporting and £4k in cash, I know which one I'd choose and it aint the MINI.

Just placed my order today on a GP Sport 1.4 16V!
Color: Crossover black, grey/black interior
Extras: 17" Alloy wheels (not the one that comes standard in the UK), Sky Dome, Mp3 CD, Blue&Me. I got a nice discount, and the original Punto matts for free. The dealer told me an end of July arrival (he said the Italians will try to fullfil as many orders as possible before they go to holiday in August). So my waiting game has started...

I ordered my punto 1.9 sporting on 3rd june in crossover black with the skydome. Was told 6 weeks until it will be ready...

Hope it isn't going to be much longer than that, the wait is killing me!!

Anyone have any idea how realistic 6 weeks is?

My GP 1.4 16V Sporting was ordered at the start of April and I got it last weekend. Fiat have recently opened another production line for the GP in Italy and I think that should sort out the delays that many have suffered since launch in Feb.

Bear in mind any optional extras specified will add time to your waiting game..

The waiting game has finally ended for me , picked up my Black GP Sporting last night, first impressions great, but only time will tell if its worth the wait.

Yes it does. But interestingly (as someone has already mentioned in one of the topics) looks like FIAT had removed the windows logo from the steering wheel (or those Italians just really screwed up something in that factory).
