Hi all,
I have a 2007 Grande Punto (3 Door) that has developed a leaking problem. I have noticed mildew growing on the rear headrests, C pillars, headliner all towards the middle and the back.
My seat is very often damp after a rain storm, My windscreen is always covered in water over the inside and recently my screen in the gauges has started "glitching out".
I inspected all of the rubbers I could see but most seemed ok. The only damaged rubber is the section between the door and the sealed rear windows.
My question is could this cause all of these issues? Would it get into the headliner from there? Is there multiple issues of leaks that look like one>
A side note here is that the car hasn't been moved in over a month and only been started to maintain the battery (Last 2 weeks) . It is parked on a forward facing incline thats steep enough to bump start (Ask me how I know) but not overly steep. I'm at a loss with it as its already going to cost me a fair bit to get through the MOT next Monday due to a major exhaust leak from the cat/downpipe section.
Any help apricated
Cheers.

Hi

Grandes with a damp boot carpet.. and a swimming spare wheel is common

List of leakpaths in cheap and simple order:

Poorly fitted tail lights

Aerial base loose: damaged

Factory fit panel sealant is now dry and cracked

Your windscreen all damp.. its condensation.. just a sign the interior is damp ;)

Mould.. same answer

An a dry day.. open the windows.. lift the tailgate.. let it 'breathe'

Well the boot was the first place I checked but funnily completely dry. I tried attaching images of my aerials to a comment or the main post but neither seemed to work as i haven't got 5 posts. But I am not sure what the aerial should look like although there is water sitting around it so im not sure. If its the factory fit sealant as you say would that be more money than its worth, its a first car for me and im getting fed up with all the work thats needed, but feel I cant sell it due to parents help in buying it. Thanks again
