Hi all,

I've had my GP (used, Cat C) for just over a year. For the entire time I've had it, the odometer has flashed, which I understand requires a proxy alignment to fix. I took it to the dealer who informed me that the blue&me system was broken so a proxy alignment couldn't be done unless the unit was replaced (£500), unsurprisingly I said no.

Not long afterwards, the display started showing nonsense and unusual symbols. Initially this was temporary and after a few minutes it would revert back to the normal display, albeit with the flashing odometer, however it now appears to be constant.

I replaced the battery with a new one however this hasn't made any difference.

Any ideas?

If you have multiscanecu I'd start by seeing if there are any trouble codes

That looks like a chip error... could still be something as basic as a bad connection, bad ground, capacitor..etc

Be prepared for replacing the instrument panel.

-check for errors.
-take the instrument panel out, check for bad connections, cold solder joint on the main pins(resolder
-you could do a diy "oven re-flow".

and you 'll be the proud owner of a Salvatore Dali style Dashboard ;-)
