Hi, I have a 2008 punto with a dual logic gearbox and for the past few weeks I have been having issues driving it in auto mode.

The car will start fine but will not switch out of manual mode, when I drive in manual it will drive ok until I come to a stop. When I go to move again the car will rev and not move.
Car got taken to a garage and they said they changed a hose (no details on receipt and rac payed) then the car was working fine. 2 weeks later same thing happened again, taken to the same garage who said they can't find the problem and it has to go main dealer. Even though they didn't fix the car after the rac cleared the faults it was working ok again. All's been fine until this morning when the same thing happened again!

Any ideas of what this could be would be appreciated, it only seems to happen on really cold mornings.

Diagnostic test said it was a clutch fault

Thanks

Sounds like it needs to visit an expert. I took my 1.2GP to an Alfa expert up in Derby and they seemed much more knowledgeable than other garages I've used. Doing a quick search for the same down your way I found these guys: http://www.gonnellabrothers.co.uk/

Never used them personally but on the Alfa forum their work seems to be well regarded though their responsiveness seems to be lacking sometimes

Just an idea

It will most likely be clutch related faults. There are a number of different faults that can cause this problem. If you are ever near southampton we could take a look for you. Sometimes it's worth the drive, I used to see lots of dualogics for problems from all over the country when I was in the dealer

Thank you, I have 2 faults showing up now P1810 clutch fault and p1773 hydrolic system pressure fault. Rac cleared the faults again and it's working?! Il take it to someone that knows more about fiat's and hopefully they can find the problem.
