The central locking lights are only working on the drivers side, plus the left indicator isn't working on the passenger side. The car has just had some work done on it in a garage & has come back with these faults which it didn't have before. At the moment they don't know how to remedy it. Any idea's please.

What work were they supposed to carry out in the first place?

When you say central locking lights i assume you mean rear side and front indicators? Have you tried swapping bulbs from one side to the other to see if it's bulbs? That would be my first port of call.

Prior to that, the car went into the Garage to have work done on the sub frame, they said they did some welding without disabling the battery. It came back with the BCU failing, I feel it was negligence on there part as the NYC was working fine when it went into the Garage.

I'm inclined to agree with you that they have caused the fault.

The problem is proving it or getting them to fix it. You need to give them a chance to fix the problem but make it very clear is wasn't there before they welded the subframe without disconnecting the battery and you believe this has damaged the electronics.

If they refuse or can't repair it and let's be honest they sound like a bunch of muppets so how confident would you be in their repair. Then you would have to get it fixed else where then try and claim the costs back.

Basically you're kinda screwed.

This the same garage that used filler on a weld repair?...run forest run...

Just heard from the Garage, they sent the BCU to a specialist electrical company who has said there's nothing wrong with the BCU, so any idea's would be appreciated as to what has caused the fault with the electrics. Thanks.
