Another problem wiper arm

Any one know the best way to remove the wiper arm I have left them over night with plus gas which in the early days was the best penetrating oil I have the same problem on 2 different GP I have tried with a 3 claw puller and also just bought one of those designed for them but that just broke also tried a bit of heat but was scared of the wind screen and the plastic panel. and they need to come off on both cars to do the strut top bearings

Yes removed the nut and washer did the same on both cars and none will budge I have even given them a gental tap around the arm think they have never been off and both cars are on 56 plates so if any body takes there's off I would recommend putting some copper grease on the splines to prevent this

1. Remove the nut from under the plastic part at the car end of the wiper arm. 2. Lift the arm up so the blade comes off the screen. 3. Carefully but vigorously wiggle the bottom of the arm from side to side

Just done mine on an 06 plate

Thanks will give it another dose of plus gas and try that tomorrow I have just been reading that some one as had same problem on a different brand fiat took them 2 to 3 days

I had one of those sets of 3 prong pullers that come in 3 sizes 3" 4" 6" the problem is that you can't get a good even hold so bought one of those on e bay that is for wipers but I had to put that much pressure on that it cracked on the prongs that go underneath the arm

Never thought of that I have succeeded at getting them of one of the cars so will try the kettle method this week end on the other one.

Thank you to all now the wipers are removed from both cars so hope fully a good w/end so that I can replace the strut tops
