Would anyone be able to provide any information on a Grande Punto 1.2 8V CAN circuit ?

What it controls ?

Where it runs from and to ?

What voltage / amps etc that would be expected ?

take great care probing about with a multimeter if it shoves a voltage down the lines it can fry bits...

fiat ecu scan shows what nodes are connected and allows some testing from memory

if this is your immobilizer issue it might be worth finding someone local to you who can come and stick their fes /mes set up in.. with it you can see if the car is seeing the key for example

Yes this is the ongoing Immobilizer issue that we are trying to get to the bottom of.

It was suggested previously that the fault codes would indicate an issue in the CAN area !!

We are attempting to avoid our local Fiat dealer (Arnold Clarke) until we have explored every avenue possible at home.

As per our Immobilizer thread we have c/o all the possible suggestions made in the forum and checked or replaced the "easy stuff" but it now looks like it may be a wiring problem !!
