Hi,

For a while now the blowers on my Grande Punto have been making a clicking noise when in use. I have just put up with it with intentions on getting it checked out at the next service.

However, yesterday when I went to turn the blowers up a setting they stopped working altogether. No air (hot or cold) coming from any vents on any speed setting at all.

I have done some searching various threads and found that it the heater fan motor (possibly clogged with leaves etc). Would this explain the clicking noise I have been hearing for some time or would these symptoms suggest something else?

Had a bit of a faff around in the dark last night under the glove box and could not see what I should be aiming to unscrew and check. Does anyone have a picture of what I should be looking for or ideally a diagram of what I need to be doing? Very novice at this stuff. Thanks.

You will find it passenger side up to your left as you look at the glove box.

There are 4 hex screws holding the motor undo them slowly but have someone or yourself if you can manage hold the blower in place, i didnt and snapped 1 of the screw fitting holding it on.

You may also need to undo a large almost vacum hover type pipe that just drops into the side of the centre console

I have done a bit more digging and found a post which has instructions and pictures to remove the fan altogether which is exactly what I want. Here it is if it helps anywhere else:

Hi I have a similar problem in that my fan make an awful noise every now and again and blows but minimally. However when I press on the connection into the motor with the orange and brown wires the heating comes on full power apart from speed setting 4.

Any ideas
