My front washer jets have suddenly stopped working , thinking i need some water in my washer bottle i filled it up, still don't work :bang: but the rear one works fine

I lifter the bonnet and took the pipe of the washer jets, pulled the lever for the jets, and the water barely trickled out.

I decided to get underneath and have a look at the washer bottle, there are two pipes running from the motor, one goes to the left and the other to the right (lying down looking up), so i pulled the pipe of that runs to the left, and the water comes out of the bottle, but the one that runs to the right won't come off, and i don't want to damage anything, being a bit heavy handed.

The motor works when you pull on the stalk.

The pipe that runs left out of the motor, could this be the one that goes to the rear washer?

Anyone had this problem before?

iirc there is a valve in the pump body

the pump works in "reverse" to wash the back screen and "forward" to wash the front

try taking the pump off the bottle

(wheel up arch liner out (LHS) ) pump pulls upwards off the bottle ((dont loose the rubber seal into the bottle)) and unclip the multi plug for the electrics

next clean the pump out with a air line or cotton bud

and put back in and try

Ever helpful as always Andy - Thanks very much mate (y)

Just what andy said, I used a thin brush to clean mine out though, living on a farm mine get clogged often :(

Cheers Vance (y)

Did you take off the inner wheel arch lining or leave it in place? It's not the easiest of things to get too,

You can get the pump off the bottle without removing the arch liner.........

However you cant get a good pull on the hoses or multiplugs so its MUCH easier i also made the mistake of managing to loose the rubber "o-ring" seal into the bottle thought i would just unbolt the bottle and shake it out... Not a chance its Pop riveted on...... :bang:

so i went fishing with one of these....

Took it off. I had it on the ramps at my girlfriends dad's work.
