So it's time the T-jet had some new brakes, Rang Fiat and they quoted me an insulting £101 per disc and £55.10 for pads! So went down to my local Car Component Center (M.C.V) and they quoted me £80 for both discs and both sets of pads. So looks like I'm in for a day of swearing on saturday as the car put up a fight last time I changed them. But hey ho saved myself some cash which will be going straight into the Eibach fund :)

Just hope I ordered the right size 285mm?? apparentley the same brakes that go on a Corsa C

That might help once before removing pads lever the pads back having first opened the bleed nipple and have a bit of hose and a jar to catch the fluid you will expunge this prevents possible damage to the abs modulator

Once you have the pads out remove the caliper as per th guide. Then remove the caliper carrier 2x 19mm ish bolts now you can get the disc off.

You need a Torx driver 25t if I remember rightly but not 100% to undo the 2 bolts hat hold the disc in place whilst you get the wheelstuds on

I just took the loosened the top on the fluid reservoir and pressed the calipers back in with a G clamp

Took me like 1 hour to do the brakes on a friends pug 206 this weekend, discs and pads.

Taking it to a garage is im sure at least a 10 min drive + bk and then waiting for them to do it, I prefer doing it myself, more interesting rather than waiting 1 hr at a garage :)

Garage wanted £201 for the whole lot, pads and discs £48 and then my time, nice £153 saving!

Read somewhere with abs equipped cars to push the piston back with the nipple open to avoid The large amount of fluid been forced back damaging the Abs modulator, take it that is nonsense then?

work in a garage n iv never heard of that so must be lol, jus undo the cap off the brake fluid (y)

I recently replaced my discs and pads on my sporting and could not get them from anywere and was told by GSF car parts, Euro Car parts and GT that they are only available from main dealers, got them trade from my local fiat garage for about £140/150, very pricey and was not happy lol
