I didnt mind, they were nice enough guys about it, and anyway whats 30 quid! but actually i mentioned it to a family friend who is one of the highest ranking coppers in the southwest and he said it was fine. Although he was going to give them a bit of a scare as he is the top man when it comes to police complaints

This is gonna be a nooby question, but this means then that I can't put osram nightbreakers into my gp, unless I have a conversion kit? If so, why?

well HID are less powerful in terms of power draw however the light output in Lumins can be higher...


The difference is the light beam pattern, and your lamps are type approved for Filament lamps (( and they must be self levelling and have washer units))


Nightbrakers are a Filament lamp of the correct wattage

My hids have arrived 5000k, fitting them at the weekend hopefully

Fitted my hids, and they are great for approx 5 seconds then they warm up and have an yellow tinge to them like standard bulbs, anyone know why? or has anyone else got 5000k bulbs that can share a comparison?

Mine were white.

Thanks thats odd then, going to try and ring the company again tomorrow and see if they will do anything about it.
They are the perfect colour that I wanted and expected on the initial start up.

I also have led side lights so it cant be them casting the yellowy light.

Might just be that there are 5000k? Or they may have even sent you the wrong bulbs? Did you check the bulbs before u installed them? But i thought that 5000k was meant to be brilliant white.

Bulbs may be faulty. I had 5k from them and they were white.

Fitted mine last week 35W 4300k and had the same issue with one of mine. Spoke to Hids direct and they're sending me replacement. I had 2 kits so borrowed from the 2nd kit. Definitely the bulb mate.

Do you keep the shield that comes over the bulbs when the HID's are fitted? Confused, as it shows the buld with the shield on the box (image 1 if you expand it, but the instructions say to remove it, instructions seem to show an H7 kit though?

Leave it on. Needs to be on the bottom.

Maybe i just got a different box to what i should have?

im all sorted now!

i also assume that the sheilded element thing also neets to be at the bottom?

ive got one where its at the top, and the others on the bottom.
