Remember we speak on neutral ground we don't have anything to sell him..
Thats the whole point, a gsr and a remap wont even make much of a difference so what hes asking isn't really worthwhile.
Tell a lie the gsr induction kits sound awesome, but its more a placebo, there isnt a major difference to notice. Id recommend that as it'd seem more fun as itll make a nice noise but the remap isnt worth the cost unless £300 odd quid is a drop in the ocean to him.
First of all everyone not happy with the product can return it at no cost to them and a full refund. I have talked a lot of people out of expensive mods, where I can't see a point. I earn my money solely from customers who are happy with the product and with proven gains.
Back to back a standard 1.4 8v has got less torque below 3000rpm (and the further you go down the more of a difference) than a 1.2 with induction and re-map. This is enough to get up a hill in top gear at around 2000rpm (not only holding the rpm but also increasing it), where you had previously to change gear at 3000rpm if you don't want to slow down.
Number crunching and going out and seeing it is 2 different things.
Thus its just turning into another thread full of opinions on whats possible and whats not.
which was essentially the OP's question
Yes.. but we're not coming to a conclusion because he gave us no guidelines or budget etc...
