Does anyone know the power/performance figures? will it be a 16v engine because frankly the 1.9 should have been (extra20hp) wonder what the 1.6 will be like mapped?

I was told the 1.6 GPS will be on the roads or at least ready to order by January 09 when I bought my GPS in September..... The guy who told me wasn't from Fiat but he had two very senior Fiat UK salesmen confirm.

I ordered my S2 1.9 Mjet back in June, was told it was discontinued to be replaced with a 1.6 16v around July sometime - and have been sat waiting ever since.
Still not even started to be built - simply an order in the system which is awaiting production. Hopefully should be getting some sort of update on Monday / Tuesday with a rough expected delivery date, which surely could only be mid-december at the earliest if they started building it today...
Expecting January or later now, and to be honest am on the verge of cancelling my order and getting something else.

Did you order directly with Fiat? If you want the car (1.9) try a broker, they should be able to source a new 1.9 s2 UK stock, mine did....

They can't find a S2 1.9.
There's plenty of S1 1.9's but no S2's with the upgrades and optional wheels that I wanted.
