Eco drive is ready to download on the fiat website, its the system that analysises your driving shows you your co2, fuel etc etc.

fiat.co.uk/ecodrive

ok couple of questions, Can i keep music on the stick at the same time as ecodrive and will it install and work ok? I only know of 1 usb port?? open the glovebox and its facing you slightly on the left? Also i think probably not but will it affect my map?

Yes, you can keep music on the stick - it just needs a little bit of space left over to record its info.

That port is fine.

Shouldn't affect your map, but your map might affect the results you get from eco-Drive.

Thanks(y) i cant wait to use it, lol. the cheery music in the video got me well excited!! hahah, sad i know.

Hi just wondered if anyone knows if it saves things like speed, I assume it does. No one worried about it saving them speeding?! :confused:

Hey, you've got a point it may well be recording you speeding but the data transmitted to FIAT in theory (in the terms & conditions) is anonymous and i dont think anywhere in the interface the speeds on a journey are shown to the user.

If it didnt take speeds into consideration i think the calculations being performed would be majorly flawed also.

Either way i dont see FIAT dobbing us in for it......

Time for another dumb Q from Ffoxy...

So I get any new USB stick from PCWorld or the like, drop the software hack onto it from my laptop and plug it into my USB port in the car.... then after a while I remove it and plug it back into my laptop and it tells me stuff....? How is it presented, on a graph or what?

Stuff that can show me how "green" I drive, gearchange points, how I could drive smoother and cleaner...? Yea? :eek:

"Reeeto, Ive sorted it.
Some of us are still runing 5.2 software (not sure if this can be updated at the dealers) but

if you open the file (PENDRIVE:\Install.inf) it only has the 5.3 installer.

[Windows Mobile for Automotive 5.3]

Open1 = \iFiat\ED7_R_x_4_EcoDrive-1100_single-install_F.ARM920.CAB

Change it to be like this

[Windows Mobile for Automotive 5.2]
Open1 = \iFiat\ED7_R_x_4_EcoDrive-1100_single-install_F.ARM920.CAB
[Windows Mobile for Automotive 5.3]
Open1 = \iFiat\ED7_R_x_4_EcoDrive-1100_single-install_F.ARM920.CAB

Then go and install.

Once its done turn off the key and then restart the car.
Press Windows and say "ECODRIVE ON"

Mrs Blue will let you know that its on."

and your sorted!!(y)

nb. the car instalation instructions are shown and printable when you are doing the instalation process on the PC, very step by step its good.
